e-Granthkosh, the Central Digital Library of Haryana, is a transformative initiative by the Department of Higher Education, Haryana, aimed at modernizing public libraries and enhancing access to knowledge resources. Launched on Good Governance Day, December 25, 2020, by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, e-Granthkosh has been a cornerstone in empowering the citizens of Haryana with seamless access to a wealth of information and learning resources.
This innovative portal serves as a gateway to numerous websites offering a diverse range of e-resources, most of which are available free of cost. Users can explore and select materials tailored to their needs, making it a versatile platform for self-learning. The portal also provides access to list of books available in public libraries across Haryana, retrieved through the SOUL software implemented in these libraries.
e-Granthkosh ensures inclusive access for all, supporting the academic community from K-12 to researchers while remaining open to the general public. It features a bilingual interface in Hindi and English, providing easy navigation and accessibility. The platform offers comprehensive e-content, including e-books, e-journals, videos, and simulations, across diverse subjects. Additionally, it provides specialized resources for competitive exams like UPSC, SSC, NEET, IIT-JEE, Banking, and Railways, making it a versatile tool for learning and exam preparation.
